Why should I choose to protect my family?

Legal & General’s Family Protection can cover you alone or both you and your partner for any of the following depending on the cover selected.

Income Protection Benefit

Provides a regular monthly benefit if because of illness, accident or unemployment (if selected) you are unable to work, resulting in a loss of earnings.

Critical Illness Cover

Should you be diagnosed during the term of the plan with one of the specified critical illnesses covered by Legal & General, and you are eligible to claim, or if you die, a lump sum or monthly benefit will be paid out.

Life Cover

Pays a lump sum or monthly benefit if you die during the period of cover or are diagnosed with a terminal illness for which you are eligible to claim (Terminal Illness Cover does not apply during the last 18 months of the period of cover).
