Lincoln Branch

Local Acts Required For Society’s New Year, New Branch Event

Press release published on 21December 2007 by Scarborough Building Society

Could you put on an outstanding performance – all for a good cause?

That’s the question Scarborough Building Society’s Lincoln branch is asking local clubs and charities.

Staff at the Cornhill branch are seeking help to ensure celebrations surrounding their branch re-launch go with a swing, in return for a donation.

Team members would be delighted to hear from local clubs or charities – from majorettes to choirs – who would like to help them create a feeling of New Year fun at the event, on Saturday, 19 January.

All volunteers will be shortlisted and those chosen to perform at the event will be given £100 to boost their club or charity’s coffers at the start of the year.

Branch manager Pamela Tutty said: ‘The aim of our opening event is to celebrate our re-launch in the city centre and we want local people to get involved and make it a fun day for all the family.

‘There will be plenty to offer customers on the day – from hot drinks and refreshments in the branch to a cracking branch exclusive regular savings account, the City Saver.

‘So if you would like to get involved with the event and earn some cash for your cause, come along to the branch and let us know!’

If you would like your group to be considered to take part in the celebrations, please pop into the Society’s branch on Cornhill, or call 01522 531166 and speak to a member of the team.
