Scarborough Continues Coaching Partnership

Scarborough Building Society has further strengthened its relationship with Scarborough Cricket Club by entering a second year of sponsorship for the club’s summer schools programme.
By continuing this relationship, the Society is reaffirming its commitment to the local community and recognising the importance that sport can play in the school curriculum.
The summer programme is taking place in 16 primary schools across the area and is being coached by Australians, Sam Hogg and Simon Branston.
Bill Mustoe, Club Chairman, said: ‘Last year, the programme gained a good reputation and standing, especially when we were awarded with the very valuable and nationally recognised Clubmark status. We are committed to continually improving our coaching programmes.
‘Over the years, the Society has supported the club in many ways and are we are delighted that the Scarborough Building Society has decided to continue with our coaching initiative, helping us to engage and identify the players of the future.’
Andrew Holmes, Operations Director at Scarborough Building Society said: ‘The summer programme gives school pupils the chance to do something positive and active, and to take advantage of the professional advice on offer.
‘We are pleased once more to be associated with such a positive event for the benefit of Scarborough kids.’
In addition to the relationship with Scarborough Cricket Club, the Society has shown its commitment to sports in education by sponsoring sports tops for every pupil at George Pindar Community Sports College over the past three years.
