Following an extensive Corporate Induction Course, everyone joining the Society has the opportunity to regularly review their performance and development needs to enable them to become competent in their role or prepare for the future. Development takes place on and off-the-job and everyone is encouraged and supported to study for appropriate vocational, academic and professional qualifications such as CeMAP, ACCA, CIPD etc.
In addition to our state of the art Training Suite for formal courses, we also provide a Learning Resource Centre to enable open learning via a wide range of books, course materials, CD-Roms and e-learning packages.
In recognition of the high quality of our people development, we gained the prestigious Investor in People Award in March 1998 and were successfully re-assessed in May 2005. Also, we have since been awarded the Positive About Disabled People Award and we are an ACCA and CIMA approved training provider.
