We also give you the chance to share your opinions with the Society through various means:
- Feedback Surveys in Connect;
- Inviting you to nominate good causes for support;

Other Member Benefits
As a result of our CSR activities, some of our community partners are kindly offering Scarborough members the chance of exclusive deals:
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust
Scarborough members are able to take advantage of an exclusive joining offer from one of our charitable partners, the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust – click here for more information about Scarborough’s work with the charity.
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is part of an influential UK-wide partnership of 47 Wildlife Trusts and manages 80 important sites across Yorkshire. The work of the Trust helps to protect many important habitats and species, which might otherwise be lost.
The Trust is offering all Scarborough staff and members a discount on the cost of annual membership – £4 per individual membership (usual price of £24).
To take advantage of this offer, just call 01904 659570 and quote ‘Scarborough Building Society’. For more information about the Trust and its work, visit www.ywt.org.uk.
The Rotunda William Smith Museum of Geology, Scarborough
The Rotunda, William Smith Museum of Geology was opened in 1829 and is today one of the world's leading museums in the geological field, due to its location on the ‘Dinosaur Coast’ of North-East Yorkshire.
Currently closed for an exciting refurbishment programme, the new look museum will be unveiled this year, incorporating new interactive features and a spectacular facelift for this unique and eye-catching building.
Scarborough Building Society has been a major sponsor of the refurbishment since the start three years ago and has also been working with museum staff to help give children in the local area the chance to learn about their heritage. In addition to this, we are helping to develop a training programme for museum and arts professionals, on subjects such as marketing and successful financial management for arts based projects – this scheme is set to commence this year.
To say thanks for all the support over the years, the museum will be offering Scarborough members the chance to take a sneaky peak into the exciting new world that is currently being created, before the general public get a look in. Check back here or on our Scarborough Together website in a few months for more details.
