Scarborough Building Society is committed to remaining an independent building society, and in doing so, uses its mutual heritage to provide much needed support to help enhance the communities in which it operates.

If you know of a deserving organisation which could benefit from cash sponsorship or volunteering support, please contact us using the methods shown below.

Our support will be provided in alignment with the Society's values and strategic intent, with priority given to those groups and/or projects within our heartland which involve financial education, culture and environment, and quality employment.

In order to provide community groups and charities with the highest standard of customer service and care, all requests over £100 are reviewed by a Sponsorship & Donations Committee consisting of a number of representatives within the Society.

It is this committee's commitment to deliver a fair, effective and prompt review of all requests received, with a written acknowledgement issued to every application within 5 working days and a decision made within 4 weeks.

As Scarborough Building Society receives many more applications for support than can be met from the available resources, please be aware that it is not possible to support all applications, even where they meet our donations criteria. The Society regrets that it is also unable to provide support to those groups and/or projects which have Religious, Gaming or Political interests.
