At Scarborough Building Society, communicating regularly with our members is very important to us. And hearing what you think is just as vital as making sure you are up to speed with the latest developments at your Society.
That's why we've included this section on our Scarborough TOGETHER Corporate Social Responsibility microsite to give you an opportunity to feed back to us on everything from new areas of community support you would like us to consider to a question you might have - as a member - about the future development and strategic direction of our organisation.

As a mutual building society, we are keen to live up to the high expectations we know people have of us in terms of member engagement and service; and community activities. That's why we're keen to hear from you about new initiatives you would like us to consider. You might want to suggest a new charitable partner which you would like us to support. Or perhaps there's something we could do to enhance the service you receive from us?
Listening and responding to feedback from our members is a big part of what we stand for so we welcome any comments about all aspects of Scarborough Building Society.

Going Green
Soon, running your home in a way which is kinder to the environment will be a requirement, not a choice, thanks to new home energy efficiency requirements. Energy Performance Certificates, which verify your property's performance in terms of factors like the effectiveness of your heating system and insulation, have become a fact of life since the Government introduced Home Information packs in 2007.
This is further evidence, if any was needed, that in future green will be the way to go, and there will be more onus on homeowners to minimise the impact their living space has on the environment. At Scarborough, we are developing a product which will help customers make necessary improvements to the energy efficiency of their homes.
